About the Artist
My love for sewing was established early in my life with the help and support of my grandmother and two neighbors. Each of them had specific sewing expertise that they shared with me from basic sewing, alterations, and clothes making.
In the early 80’s my interest turned to computers and a computerized Pfaff sewing machine. The Pfaff machine was a prelude to my current Brother machines, which I now use in completing embroidery designs. To make designs on my Pfaff a method of plotting X and Y coordinates needed to be used on graph paper.
Using my current computer and special editing and designing software, I can create designs that are then stitched out using my Brother embroidery machines.
My original designs have been created through my ideas or from clients wishing for customized embroidery. These designs are then stitched out onto various items, such as denim shirts, totes, etc. The apple tree design was my first original design. This design launched my embroidery business. It made the transition from 3-dimensional paper trees to embroidery.

La Stitchery Custom Embroidery & Digital Imaging
I began my business in 1988 in Pennsylvania as a Touch of Craft. I was featured in several newspapers and in the Pennsylvania Magazine. I began with the making of 3-dimensional trees and fruit and vegetables made from twisted paper.
My business has now taken a turn to incorporate other trusted fibers, such as thread. I do custom embroidery on a variety of items, which include shirts, bags, caps, etc. My prices depend on the amount of material required to complete your personal product. I also do handmade sewn items. Contact me on any and all special orders. (540) 894-9371
